| Re: south wales where to fish. Pendine is a really good beach to fish on. mid june it will be fishing its preverbial socks off. Its a great beach for flounder and bass...but travel light as the tide races in, i generally fish it with tripod, rod, and bucket to hang off the tripod with your bait in a spare rig and some spare hooks...you won't loose any gear here. 2 hook flappers with 18" - 24" hook lengths with size 2 (not 2/0)kooks. if theres no surf a 3-4oz plain lead if there is surf put a gripper on. the best tactic here is to fish from low water up to high...get away from the crowds or even better fish in the evenings, bait wise use either maddies, lug or rag...don't cast far...litterally cast it 20 yards out...it will only be knee deep and then let line out as the tide comes in untill you have let out about 100yards and repeat the process if you haven't had a fish. if your going to fish 2 rods use a running ledger on the second rod and a big crab, razor or lug bait and bang it out, the bass stay 60-150 yards off shore. good luck and enjoy your holliday in Gods country. john __________________ 2012 targets - 180 yard measured cast, 10lb bull huss, 12lb blonde, 10lb hound, 8lb small eyed, spotted ray any size |
