yeah you need one mate the hint is in the name of them (survival suit) it will keep you warm all night long and by any chance you do get swept in or fall in to the sea the floation suit will keep you afloat as for second hand that is your choice mate you can pick them up new for as little as £60 look for the abu ,sunridge imax fella i hope this will help

Falling off a beach is highly unlikely lol but for the money you would spend on decent waterproofs and thermals you may as well spen 60 bucks and get a two piece flotation suit .. i have a thread on here reviewing the Fisheagle flotation suit .. a bargain at the price

thermal wellies might help too

Steve

Re: Survival Suits

I have a two piece flotation suit and neoprene wellies. does the trick and if a rouge wave washes me in the sea at least I have some survival chances.

You do see reports of anglers washed of the rocks, so it is not silly to wear one.

The two piece is better for most of us as you get the option of removing the jacket on the warmer nights and I personally hate the constriction of a one piece.

Re: Survival Suits

2 piece is definatley the way to go.

i fish alot using the jacket but have a pair of normal waterproofs in the box for when it rains. I find that unless its really baltic, like this week then i get too warm with both.
