| eastney beach hi all im new to this forum any tips on whats about on eastney beach this time of year going sat night and tips on bait and rigs thanks ![]() |

| Re: eastney beach If I had to fish Eastney, it'd be whole squid or a fresh mackerel fillet etc. I may go back to Bermuda ... I wonder if we'll see any codling towards the end of the month? ![]() |

| Re: eastney beach I had a couple of hours there yesterday daytime and it's infested with small corkwings and goldfish sized bream. Had 5 of each and the baits were lucky to last a couple of minutes. Mostly schoolies at night with the outside chance of a bigger bass so I'd agree with Gremlin. I've never fished it but the clarence section of Portsmouth beach is supposed to be a decent sole mark, maybe you'd be better off there as it's the right time of year and small tides? |

| Re: eastney beach well turn up and set every thing up at 6 pm put kettle on and made a brew then sorted out the rods and cast them out an d with in 10 mins we where pulling in sholie bass between me and my mate we must of caught 30 but put them all back then came the bream for a few hours then it went quite un till it hit low tide around 1am and i had a couple for 2 lb bass my mate had three arond 2 to 3 lb then i my rod had a little wooble and i pulled it in and there was a good sized poult on the hook so i left it non and cast it back out it took about 45 mins then bang the rod went nuts so i ran grabed it and started battle after have to move up the beach about 50 yard if fear of losing this fish i finaly landed it on the beach a nice bass so weighed it and just a touch over 6 lb then we hade 2 gurnard and a few more bream so all in all was a brill night ![]() |
