| Mersea Island tomorrow... ...aiming to get to east beach for low water so I can have a look around, anybody know this area and have any tips? I'm going to phone the local tackle shop today to see if I can order/reserve some bait, what's recommended? Ian     |

| Re: Mersea Island tomorrow... Well, two lessons learned. I won't buy frozen lugworm again and I won't go fishing when there's a easterly wind blowing! Blanked apart from two crabs, the rest of whom seemed to love the crappy mush that passed for bait! The wife of a couple fishing near me landed a small Bass, that was all that was caught! Oh well, next time eh... |
