what reel to choose ?

LOL I'm confused..
what reel do I need ?

I want to "do" some sruf fishing (saltwater) in israel .
I have a rod I bought 3 years ago in mint condition , it's 2 parts and 6 feet long . it is written on it :
SURECATCH BLACK FIGHTER , model : MTS602SP .
LENGTH : 6'0" , ACTION : MEDIUM , CASTING WT ..:8-26gm , line wt.:3-6kg
it has 5 rings .

what is needed to be in the reel I need (size.. ?)
what do you recommend ?

surf you need at least a 12ft rod and either good strong fixed spool or multiplier reel

oh you said surf fishing thats beachcasting to us , jigging yea 8 foot or so rod i use a carp rod but hey ho good luck bud

Take a van stall vs150 use 7.5 siffix promix limp line.use leader carbon mono fil.

Go for it,you want be disapointed, life time warrenti,use as vs250 on surf with a red gill teasar and good eating

Fire island new york,very cool place.26 miles long ,one side is great south bay outher side atlantic ocean with great beach,fish and girls.

Island only 3/4 mile wide

ferry to et there

no cars,walk run and bike

and fishing is great from 3lb to 50lb fish from surf or dock
