Re: Going down to torquay harbour fishing any tips or reports

Thats the first time i ever heard of a pre nuptual agreement specifying your right to fish!I am beggining to realise your a very special guy. Me, fool that I am, only had a verbal agreement to allow my fishing activities post marriage, sadly that was not worth the paper it was'nt printed on. I find my fishing aspirations are used as a lever to extract all manner of concessions from me.
"Darling I'm thinking of going fishing tomorrow"
"Ok my little Foggypoos, but decorate that spare room first and put up those shelves, oh and dont forget to unblock that drain then tonight you will make passionate love to me for more than 3 minutes! "!
"Ah well, perhaps ill just go on the Fishing forum instead"

Re: Going down to torquay harbour fishing any tips or reports

Further to my previous post, I took a client (I run a small care home) to Babbacombe pier on Wednesday evening, he is new to fishing and over the last few weeks Ive been helping him get into it.Well he blanked a few times then caught his very first fish, a craking big mackeral and on the strength of that success he bought his own rod and real which we tried out Wednesday evening. It was low tide and I didnt expect much but he was soon into a rod bending hard fighting fish, he is very excitable and was shouting to all and sundry that he had got one on. The upshot of it all was that this was an absolute cracker of a mackeral, other fishemen came to look and declared it a monster. Ive been fishing down Babbacombe pier for twenty years and never have i seen such a beauty. It weighed in on our home scales at just under 2lb. For a bloke who has had nothing but dissapointment all his life (he is 28) this was a real confidence boost and I am confident fishing will remain part of his life from now on and hopefully keep him out of trouble. As for me i have told him if he does that again before I catch a big un I shall throw him in. He has teased me mercilessly about it, but im just so pleased for him. There seem to be a lot of big mackerel about right now, nothing like the one he caught but big all the same.
