Re: free linning

hello mate, personaly i would say to use braid, you can feel so much more of what is happening under the water than you can with mono. Some braids float on the surface really well and can also be watched as a bite detector when free lining when the water is flat calm. good luck

Re: free linning

I have had mixed success with both, one problem I found with braid and freelining is that the line isnt always tight, and therefore there is a chance on wind knots/tangles.

That's my only prob with using braid is the knots and tangle factor, when free linning in gullies your line gets thrown around and the chances of knots and tangles are high,it happens on mono now but does undo fairly easy but braid doesn't so might stick with mono for a bit, thxs for your advice .
