| Spinning in the Surf I have a few questions on the above subject,so,here goes... Firstly, are there certain things i should look for in relation to terrain,or is it possible to catch anywhere along the beach?. Secondly,is there a better tide, ebb or flood,to spin or plug in? Finally, does anyone know what species would be available to catch along the South Wales coastline ? Thanks for any advice........... |

| Re: Spinning in the Surf Quote:
Tides differ from beach to beach but generally two hours before high water or the first hour of the ebb is best .. As for species - most surf anglers are out waist deep spinning with plugs and lures for large Bass that patrol the beaches.. Steve __________________ Shore Species 2012: Bugger All !! |

| The fish like gullies and deep pools as this is where the food will accumulate in the tide and the bait fish will swim. A good sign of predatory fish is to look out for gulls diving into a bait fish boil. The bait fish boil as they are hearded to the surface by the predators and the gulls take advantage. I have seen this alot around Cricceth and have had some good catches, usually mackerel but also the occasional bass. Hope this helps and good luck. __________________ Ddaz.
