I reckon if there are bass aroung you will do well with the dexters, however I've never caught one from a pier they like rocky marks with a bit of wave action, or sandy beeches where there are deeper pools etc. Your plugs should work well too, they'll take them right off the surface, and your jellies will attract all sorts. For mackies a cheap set of feathers (usually about a quid) should work perfectly, but they'll go for spinners too, in fact when they're in a feeding frenzy they'll take a bare hook even. Best advice = try them all and have fun, you'll discover quite quickly what works best where you are. Don't be afraid to experiment! Tight lines. (Soon you will be the master) |

| Re: Starting lure fishing, all help welcome When you are lure fishing, it pays to search the water and not stay too long in any one position. Spinnerbaits, crankbaits, and plastic worms work best for bass. __________________ http://www.boatfishingtackle.co.uk |
