hi all does seaford get many/eny smoothies, if so when can i expect them to start comin , how far do u have to cast? wot sort of rigs/bait to use? sorry for all questions ive never gone after them b4 and thought i would give it a go this yr, ta for eny info given

You'd be better off travelling to Selsey or Pagham instead if you want a proper smoothound. They should turn up in numbers within the next month. If you do catch one at Seaford chances are it would be very small.

Use a single strong 2/0 hook (Varivas BMX) on a single clipped paternoster. Two or three very small hardbacks produce the goods for 'smuts'.
