| A bit of advice please Hello all, I am looking to get a new beachcasting rod and reel for myself and could use a bit of help. In Shetland, we really only have one shop that sells rods and was thinking to try a cheaper option of gettin a rod and reel from the internet. Could you suggest a good site to buy a good quality set, or perhaps you might have a set you might be interested in selling? Also not really sure what type to try. Normally i go for mackerel, coalies, cod and the occasional conger. So usually a strong 12ft rod we six flies does the job but its fairly boring reeling in 3+ mackerel at a time. So, was thinking a longer rod to cast out further with fewer hooks (maybe 1!) might be a better option. Dunno, slightly confused ![]() All help is gratefully received Cheers |
