 Which mainline is best ? What's people choice of weapon when it comes to loading their multipliers ? Are there any you buy time after time without a problem and how often do you strip the line and replace with new ? | Re: Which mainline is best ? currently running 18lb red ice on one multi & 15lb ultima on t' other the f1 seems much better quality but the colour makes it bloody nigh impossible to untangle a nest at night. ultima distance in orange gives best of both worlds i wasn't to0 impresed with diawa tornament but can't remember why, cheap brands all still do the job . i replace line when- its visably damaged. there's not enough left on the reel. i need to change b/s. or huge birdnest needs cutting out. i've got a rough ground reel loaded with cheapie 30lb straight through and a spare spool for my fixed spool with 50lb braid for special occasions __________________ beer so many venues, so little time. |

| Re: Which mainline is best ? Daiwa tournament 15lb (shore, rocks) in my opinion "the best", change my line every 3 years, saying that mine is on its 4th year. Bit dearer but lasts yonks. Tight lines. |

| Re: Which mainline is best ? I probably miss read it, but the Bullet Train from Tokyo to Kagoshima is amazing. At least I had a drink in The Imperial in Tokyo ... 14 squid fer a half of lager ....  Nice bloke kept filling up me glass!  Strangely, I'd rather be up to mee bottom in mud and digging ragworm. |

| Re: Which mainline is best ? 14 squid for a beer! jesus! backpacking on a shoe string round asia years back and stumbled into a bar in singapore all stuffed tigers and leather armchairs very nice! then got my bill arfter 3 pints of heinekan worked out £38 2 days of my budget! glad to say i did a bunk and dont feel guilty in the slightest! i digress, red ice is good stuff but rule of thumb is you get what you pay for! my mags ar loaded with redice my fixed spools ar loaded with some shimano force master cheapy gear as they take more of a bashing on the lake pike carping or sea float fishing so they get changed once a year (maybe twice) look arfter my mags so they get a rince down arfter every session and the same red ice has been on them for 2/3 years not bad for 1080m at a tenner! believe a good tapering shock leader is a good idea as apart from absorbing shock (derrr) they protect the main body of line from the worst wear and tear of shingle, rocks sea walls ect! __________________ SCUPPER A COMMERCIAL TOOOO DAY! |
