hi im fishing penarth pier in the morning anyone got any tips on what baits and rigs because i havent fished penarth before many thanks

Scratching rigs will do the trick ,size 2 hooks ...small pieces of rag ,lug and slithers of mackerel are the better baits ....plenty of small codling ,pout and whiting around at the mo................

technically i think i did blank i went to the toilet and when i got back my uncle was holding my rod with the biggest codling of the day so done a robson green and swore a few times only joking lol but wasnt happy i missed the bite
