Re: help needed

Your best bet is to get hold of lewis 77 or flying fox on here , both had some good tope from around that way

Selsey & Hayling are probably your best bet but very few about last year ...

Hence the Yak ! - one of my missions later this year

Had one in 2007 at Bracklesham and Ollie had one the same evening as well. Seemed to be a good amount hooked into that year especially during late July and August. We caught ours over high tide but previous to that day others had been catching over low water as well. Need a good period of warm settled weather which hasnt happened in last two years and our trips to the same venue since have resulted in no tope bites at all. Selsey west beach is a good bet, the odd few are had on the east beach but rare.

Noop, and I live on the seafront at Hayling.

Lewis knows what he is talking about.

Go to Bracklesham as far as you can along E Bracklesham Drive.

Tope have been caught here over 50lbs. ie. Took the scales to the limit.

As long as mackerel are around, so are the tope.

If you can deliberately target a sizeable Tope from the south coast shore i will wear an England shirt (just the once) , and actually wear it in public !

I hear the top shore venue for Tope is the Isle of Man and i've never heard , until about 2 minutes ago of anyone targeting tope from the shore round here - but you live and learn...

All the best in your quest tho
