Sole searching Hi Guys, I've got some days off coming up soon and am looking to catch my first sole and basicaly need some pointers with regard to venues, best conditions and tide states etc. I've got the rig side of things sorted (I think). I've got an idea where might be worth a look in the BC but thought it might be worth extending my search to the south devon/dorset areas. Can anybody help?

Re: Sole searching Sole on the welsh side of the channel have maybe moved away but usually you may find a few after a sunny dry spell, the sole then tend to move in on the tide line picking off the worm rising up through the softening mud, best baits are always the worm you find in an area other than that a few day old lug (stickier the better) I always tend to find if no worm beds are present your chances of sole are dimminished. When fishing the BC from Porlock upto the Brige and beyond it does not tend to matter wheather it is day or night. In gin clear waters on the south coast it would be better fishing at night.

Re: Sole searching Personally I would not venture out onto the peat ledges at redwick alone unless I knew where exactly I was walking.
