Re: Hurst Castle fishing

Yes the castle which is more of a fort is at the end

But I find the first 100yrds from the wooden bridge (car parking area ) best as after that I need oxygen

Its a shingle split and is a bit hard going , but now I have decided not to take everything I own when fishing its going to be a lot easier plus can always nip back to the car and get some lead ect

The good thing about this mark you can get loads of people on it it deepish water and snagish free (thats the kiss of death)

Re: Hurst Castle fishing

There is a boat that will ferry you to the castle but i dont know if it is running this time of year.
As for the walk i made it to the end ONCE and once was enough, there is a nice deep hole of the end that can fish well.
On another note i wouldnt pick to big a tide cos it gets impossible to hold bottom, i have used 7ounce leads before and they just wont grip.
I am up for it to if thats ok.

my farmer friend kev being a land lubber turns a funny shade of green if you mention that he has to hop on a ferry!!!

so i was hoping we didnt have to walk to the end i will do it if i have to but its a fair old jaunt
