River Hamble Spots (warsash side) please help!??

Awight peeps,

Just getting back into fishing after spending my youth catching bugger all off of the harbour masters pontoon at Warsash as a kid!

So I'm looking for some decent spots on the river hamble, I'll be fishing from the shore (warsash side of river) and very occaisionall by boat.

If anyone knows of any good locations, particularly for bream or bass this would be greatly appreciated!

Also I went out on a mates boat last night, on the ebb of the tide just outside the mouth of river hamble in the solent (east side), and got loads of weed, it was relentless. We decided to relocate just off the School of Navigations' training jetty back in the river hamble (see red dot in pic link below) and found the weed to be minimal and hooked a small smoothy (on squid), had tons of bites there, on rag too, but suspect inexperience meant we missed 'em!!!!

I've heard of people referring to Chilling Spit and Warsash Point, does anyone know where this is? Is it the yellow dot on the picture link below? coz this spot was visable from where we were in the boat but didn't look to safe under foot.

cheers, gonna try that out over the next couple of weeks. I heard a rumour up the boozer yesterday that there's been double figure smoothies caught off of Haslar wall aswell lately. That'll be next on the list me thinks!

If you want to meet i,v wanted to fish chiling so would be intrested to fish it, unfortunatley i have no transport but may be able to get someone to drop me of there.
If you fish haslar keep your rigs VERY simpil as it is VERY snaggy but full of fish take plenty of leads or spark plugs properly best to float fish there. also few spider crabs about.

Best of luck keep me posted
