Newbie from Costa Rica

Hi everyone,

Yes, I am from sunny Costa Rica and new to this forum. I have been looking around and wondering online and finally found a Forum that caught my interest.

I need some help, I want to try surf fishing and need advise as to what I need equipment wise .... all I have is a Quantum XR4 reel that I bought a few years ago but never used, so is as close to brand new as it can be.

I am flying to New York City this weekend and want to buy the stuff there since it is better priced and better quality too ... so any advise as what store to go would be nice to know. I found a store named Capitol Fishing Tackle ... !!??

Anyways, basically I need advise on what to get starting from zero ... thanks in advance for your replies!!
