| 20th outing sees champion pouting disheartened as you may of been reading that after 19 sessions on numerous beaches with numerous rigs, different baits, line ,rods reels...it was blank blank blank,i was ready to hang up my rod,and YES FINALLY I DID IT  the bishops lydeard club finally let me join(cheers boys ) i was set a night fishing match 10pm til 5am,a break then a mackerel bash at chesil, got there early for a very nice social bbq,giving me plenty of time to set up my new beach shelter and get some pointers ,had my first go feathering and incredibly caught 4!, 10 loomed, i dug out my head lamp and off we went, and half an hour later finally i pulled out a fish sure it was just a 11.5 inch pout,but who cares it was a fish,in size, i let out an almighty woo hoo,and proceeded to proudly tell my neighbouring anglers how id used sand and lug ....i was so chuft, gave my self the kiss of death saying i didnt care if i didnt catch anything else,well i did but it was two more pout only they were under size, lots of tangles with the dreaded weed saw many catch nothing one packed up and slept and come the morning i soon found out that id caught as much and more than many of the boys, 3 more mackerel made my day and a rather delicious lunch, i cant tell you how good pout is fried whole,flakey sweet white meat, bizarely tasting a little bit like fish fingers,i still dont know who won, i know it wasnt me , but i am so happy,next fish next saturday,must must must make my own wieghts now i have to reduce my costs to keep the mrs sweet,lost 20 geminis 2weekends ago,other than that its game on    |

With regards to losing tackle, are you taking any steps (Lead lifts, rotten bottom, spark plugs!) to reduce your losses??? __________________ Right then, checklist: Rods. Check. Reels. Check.
