first time fishing from habour

hi there can anyone please help i am going on holiday to marwgan porth cornwall and am going to take my son fishing from a harbour wall or beach can anyone please help .. were to go am there from 1st aug --15 aug any help thanks

Cool, I'm what u might call a meat ball fisherman. Big weight, set of tinsils or a running ledger and a bit of mackeral.
but if your down that way then Porthkerris is always worth a go. On a good day the mackeral there are spot on. Few pollock to be had as well and always a wrasse about.
Been fishing down Coverack recently mainly for the pub but had mackeral, pollock and Dogfish off there.
Best bet though is to ask the old boys down there.

if you have just a spinning rod i would suggest a float set up for the mackerel,gars , pollack and scad
