Question Times ect kent and sussex meet

Hi guys, haven't been on much, as I'm moving house next week and have been putting in the hours at work <groan>

Anyway, as the 27th is looming upon us, I thought I'd post some info for those who need to get to Newhaven.

Newhaven is reached either by the A26 south from the A27. The A27 can be reached from the A23 or the A22 (for those in Kent). You can also get to Newhaven by the A259 coast road (either from Brighton or Eastbourne). When you get into Newhaven you need to follow the A259 round the one-way system until you reach South Road on the left (you should see the ferry port on the left before then). South Road develops into Fort Road which takes you all the way to the car park at the start of the harbour arm. Turn right at the entrance of the car park and drive to the start of the arm. Plenty of parking there and its free. (I came down last Saturday and it was free). Anyway, in South Road there is a chip shop on the left, a kebab shop on the right further down , but a pub just before the car park, yay!

Meeting time: I think we agreed 6pm?

High Tide: 11.30pm (ish) Full Moon!
Baits: Black lug/squid working very well at the moment
Rigs: simple one hook rigs have worked well for whiting and I've been using two hook clipped down and bombers to good effect
Fish: Lots of whiting, pout, sole and ray (?!) recently. Pollock have been caught off there last week too.

Lets just hope for a nice crisp, clear night with a little wind. I'm looking forward to it!

Rob

Looking forward to it.

Re: Times ect kent and sussex meet

Anyone else up for the meet? I know AndyG and Needlesharp had shown an interest. And is anyone further afield interested? Its starting to turn cold now, it may be a good 'un. So far it's me and John
