| baits tips Hi, Last weekend I caught a couple of lovely cod around 3-4lb, with a lugworm and squid tip bait. these were the only two bite I had in over 8hrs, so gave me plenty of time to think about new baits. I was thinking of a lugworm, cockle and squid baited rig. I've used cockles a lot with fresh water and the fish love them, has anyone ever used them in sea fishing, and what was the result? Also does anyone have any secret bait tips to share? |

| Re: baits tips The number and size of the cod you catch does, frequently, depend on the size and scent-content of the baits you use. I rarely see anglers catch cod/codling on one worm and a size 2! Strangely, because I was doing a feature at the time, this is the actual bait I used for my 18-2. ![]() This is the same, but different, if yer gets mee drift! ![]() ![]() |
