Question A question

Hello there, I am new to the boards and sea fishing in general so I have a question the I am sure you will all know the answer to. I am not sure but I think I heard somewhere that you can't shore fish in October...is this true? I think I heard it was something to do with it being a spawning season or some sort but I don't really know. If someone could enlighten me I would appreciate it then I can go out while I have a bit of time off. Thanks Dawn

Welcome to the forum, Dawn!

I see from your location you're from the South Eastern Posse! Whereabouts do you normally fish?

Cheers,
JB.

Re: A question

Thanks for your replies guys. I generally fish on Mersea Island John Boy. Primarily because it's where I am and I really haven't a clue as to where else to go. My navigation here in the UK is still a bit iffy but I am working out where things are. Any good spots around this area you know of?

Thanks Dawn

Wow! That's really bizarre, only on Tuesday I was talking to a bloke where I was working and he told me he lived on Mersea Island .. it was the first time I'd heard of it (sorry - bit ignorant). What a coincidence.

What's the fishing like over there?

I'm afraid I don't know much about marks in Essex, I only really fish in Kent, but I'm always on the look out for new marks, and this site is a great place to get information!

Cheers,
JB.
