Re: Fishing lebe in Hampshire

You might be lucky with a few flounders - usual tactics .... fish hard on the bottom with harbour rag if you can get any, small bits of peeler might work.

Daylight for other species is hard going this time of the year, few small bass around, rag or lug is the best bait. Use simple 3 hook flappers.

Don't need to cast to far for either flounders or bass. If you do distance cast, you will get quite a bit of tide run and if there is weed around, might be hard work but possible worth the effort if there any cod about ...

It is also worth walking around the 'point (big yellow tower) to the old concrete piles - some deeper water there ...

If you are going to walk to the concrete, park in the top car park at the far end and cut through the stiles and the path leads to the beach otherwise it is a long walk around from the bottom car park !

BUT watch out for the car park (top & bottom) - both will lock up at closing, got a feeling it is 1600 in the winter ... plus might not open to early either ...

Good luck - be interesting to hear how you get on ...
