Re: Devon Shore Meet - not long now

Just been to the MET office web site I have have cloud/sunny intervals with rain coming in during the evening/night.

Met office forecast

If the weather does change from this forecast then we have 2 sheltered bays as a back up. Elberry cove or Oddicombe beach

Good idea Dave, perhaps we should make one. Maybe Simon 8 rods could give us a hand!

Cheers

Re: Devon Shore Meet - not long now

How long does everyone intend fishing? I can actually bring all my stuff with me now as I'm coming down on my own for the day (anyone en route who needs a lift give me a shout by PM, I'll be leaving Newport at about 7.00am). I was going to just turn up and get my bait at the shop by the Golden Hind, do I really need to order or will they have plenty? Have to go and get myself a new fixed spool later as I can now take both my rods :) Where's best to park? I only know the rusty steel multi-storey car park but someone said there is a cheaper car park not too far away. Finally, has anyone fished the breakwater recently? If so what is about at the moment?

Would like to stay as long as possible but probably as 2 hour trip back home, plus Forum Admin has to get back to his Chillian Wine.... it gets lonely! we'll see.

Heres to a good day tomorrow.... and loads of thanks to Simon 12 rods for organising it.

Looking forward to meetinmg loads of you forum peeps, fishing is secondary really.... well not really.

Cheers
Shaun

Re: Devon Shore Meet - not long now

well i have work at 7pm so i need to be leaving about 5 as for parking the carpark is right where the breakwater begins i think simon said its 7 quid for the day i have in the past seen ppl drive onto the breakwater but i wouldnt suggest it.
i think someone said they have a stove? so i just need to bring a frying pan and some sausages? lol
and if it was me going for bait i would goto torbay angling centre at paignton parking is a bit of a bugger if you know paignton its nextdoor too tesco's or just in behind the busstation area. they will have more stock of bait than brixham i would say
