A day at Samphire Hoe

Hello all

since i did my last post i had a couple of blank days fishing at sheerness and hythe butstill enjoyed them .I decided to go to Samphire hoe at dover/folkstone onfriday 5th .High tide was at 0650 got to the hoe at 7.50 by 8.05 i had 2 pout about 6inches long 5mins later a wrasse 8ins this went on allday .About lunchtime i had 3small pollock in quick succession Ihoped for something bigger but in vain. After the pollock gurnard started toappear along with more pout and wrasse .65% of these were caught down the wall next came an edible crab 5inches across , he went back in too ,i also caught a weaver. ugly things are they not. By 1530 they had eaten all my bait but i had not got anything worth eating. My total for the day was
30 wrasse,19Pout ,9Gurnard ,1Weaver and 1crab.Went home after a most enjoyable and look foward to the next in a few weeks time .
good fishing everyone
regards

brian
