fishing in the south

I have just come back to fishing i would like to know the best place to take my kids fishing in the south of england. I was a keen fisherman as a boy in the north sea. but havent fishing for over 20 years. But my children are intrested I wont to take them. I have bought them some rods & tackale ready.But where to go in the south.

hello mate,welcome to the forum,i would recommend the prince of wales pier in dover,its safe,it has toilets and a caff and the fishing in the autumn can be very good

Hi mate and welcome ,

your best bet is to read the catch reports on the south of england , pick a venue , then pm the report starter for more info , works wonders !!!!! ,

st margarets bay is nice. there is a public tiolet, a pub and a cafe sellin sandwiches and t and coffee right on the beach front. i have only fished there once, last saturday. was about 10 people fishing. saw a couple pf pouting caught and put back.didnt catch anything myself. will go back another day 2 try again.

I do a 'kids and beginners day' every June/July (haven't set a date yet) on South Parade Pier, Southsea. It's one place I can guarantee everyone will catch.
