Re: Question about sea trout

One thing to remember is that catch and release is encouraged even if you have the correct licence to fish for sea trout. I would strongly advise against taking any accidental fish you may catch as you could be fined by the EA (if your luck is as good as mine the day you catch and kill one is the day the EA will be about!).

Re: Question about sea trout

A big fine if the bailiffs check your bags, and they find a sea trout. If you do catch one, either put it back, or bag it and get the hell out of there. A certain month of the year the bailiffs are on the look out. cant remember which month lol

Someone said if you catch one it has to be registered somewhere. is that so?

Re: Question about sea trout

i think you would have to count yourself very unlucky to get caught with a sea trout in your bag, lets face it,how often do you see a bailiff
