can anyone tell me whens best time for mackies at scarborough or whitby thanks

When the sea has been calm for a couple of days.
Pick a building tide, and try a float or spinner, strings of feathers are boring and not particularly sporting.
Take a cool box, fillet your catch as you fish, easier to transport, and will be good for freezing as bait, eating fresh, or on a barbie!
Some muppets carry 50+ fish back to their cars in carrier bags - making them next to useless!
