| Re: Devon Meet - Saturday 2nd October 2004 you will with 4 rods a tripod bucket of bait ect. i bet simon goes for the 7 quid parking lol oh and btw i had 4 mullet yesterday nnothing huge but i did have a large (ish) gilthead bream just over 3lbs friend of mine had a couple too 2.8 aswel and they were all on bread!!! __________________ fishing for fish is not as simple as you may think! |

| Re: Devon Meet - Saturday 2nd October 2004 lol well i will continue to update you all on my fishing. i arrived around 12 noon today spoke to a friend of mine and while we was talking he hooked a nice mullet weighed in tonight at 5.13. so far best grey mullet from shore in the festival but with 2 days to go i will keep on trying. also (this ones for you simon) there seemed to be a hint of seagulls working just off the pier this evening maybe the sprats have arrived? well worth a look down the beach tomorrow i will post something here for you tomorrow cos i have to take the missus to the bus stop at 6:30am!!!! so will let you know what i see simon __________________ fishing for fish is not as simple as you may think! |

| Re: Devon Meet - Saturday 2nd October 2004 yes the sprats have arrived im not certain where they are now but this morning they were on the outside of haldon pier and headed off towards hopesnose once that wind started blowing. so maybe tonight babbacombe pier or even anstey's cove will be worth a look. still plenty of macky brixham side of the bay so i have heard aswell __________________ fishing for fish is not as simple as you may think! |

| Re: Devon Meet - Saturday 2nd October 2004 jules i went down last night to a local isolated beach where the macky had driven the sprats up and the shingle was shining silver with sprats i dipped a bucket in the water and filled it with sprats they where everywhere! took my friends little boy up the pier later using whole sprats he caught 38 macky! on just a hook....god knows what would of happened if we used feathers! __________________ fishing for fish is not as simple as you may think! |
