Devon Meet - Saturday 2nd October 2004

Just spent two days fishing the breakwater so thought I'd post what to expect:

37 mackerel (best 2lb 1oz)
18 garfish (Best 1lb 7oz)
4 pollock (best 2 1/2lb)
1 conger (got off the hook as I was hauling it up though grrr. Was at least 20lb)
2 wrasse (best 1lb 2oz)
1 heavily sunburnt Simon (best burn = the face) ;-)

This was all caught with just 2 rods.

Well, Im gonna fish right next to 'Simon 4 Rods' so I can catch like that!!

A good couple of day's fishing mate.

I'll be there. Gonna dump the family at Challaborough for the weekend and have the Saturday at Brixham. Who knows, might even catch a fish! Might borrow a course rod too so that Dave can help me catch my first mullet.

I can't get the car for that weekend, but I'm considering catching the train down, grab a B&B and go back the next day. It'll be worth it for the amount of knowledge I'll gain from you guys

Rob I could pick you up from the train station and take you straight there if you want. Only thing is though I would like to be at the breakwater by 10am so I can welcome peeps.

You want to get off at either Torre train station or the main torquay station which is by the grand hotel.

Went fishing for a couple of hours there tonight. Lots of mackerel (best being 1lb 8oz) and pollock (best 2lb 3oz).
