Rob M, where do you live? I'm in Uxbridge, West London.
Andy,
I live in Crawley, West Sussex. Coincidentally I lived and worked in West London in the early 90's, in the Hammersmith and Ealing areas

Re: Devon Meet - Saturday 2nd October 2004

Hopfully I can make it, have to check with the boss as it's her birthday a few days later so might be expecting me to take her out. Might learn how to fish, what's likely to be about in October?

Re: Devon Meet - Saturday 2nd October 2004

doggies!! conger eels are resident on the breakwater all year round....should be macky maybe still the odd garfish should still be bass pollock scad mullet. plus there is always the chance of bream coalfish flatties cod there maybe whiting around after dark too and should be the odd pouting.
the only problem i can think that MAY occur is that we get an easterly blow because it will be unfishable in an easterly but i know small places around the bay we can tuck out of an easterly if that problem should arise

Re: Devon Meet - Saturday 2nd October 2004

Hey Pingup,
To make it even easier, look for a man fishing with 4 rods next to 4 guys fishing with 1 rod.
Well 1 guy fishing with a beachcaster and 3 guys struggling with boat rods!
Best regs, Jules

Re: Devon Meet - Saturday 2nd October 2004

Too profound, bring rods I don't have enough for my guys and they are the best crew ever. Like the sound of mullet as they really do pull my string. Eat a smoothhound last year, wasn't impressed. put them back. But gonna be a good day.

Really looking forward to it, Jules
