Re: Milford on sea/ hurst spit

i just read a report on another forum from thursday;-

sizeable bream and smuts to 4lb.from the bank
as to the venue - steep shingle / strong tides/ ebb best on the bank( coz then its fishable)

Cheers Guys

Spending quite a bit of time down that way now. I will have to dig the rods out again.

Re: Milford on sea/ hurst spit

Also worth a try up at Hordle, Barton On Sea and Tadiford. All very close to Milford and you stand a good chance of some nice Bass and Rays at all these marks. Best baits I have found for Rays are Makerel with Rag whipped to it on a big pennel rig.

Well worth a shot at the White House as well which is on Milford shingle and not Hurst Spit. By the groins. If you need anymore info send me a PM and I will try and help out.

Milford, New Milton, Barton and High Cliffe are all close to you and producing good fish at the moment.

Re: Milford on sea/ hurst spit

tried to fish at milford last night, spent a fortune on bait and fuel, weeded out , couldn't hold bottom for more than five minutes, then spent 10 mins trying too clear weed off line and rigs
