Having a Devon meet

There are plenty of us in this area so a meet up would be a good idea.

I was thinking the end of September so all the tournaments are out the way.

The Two options I can think of are:

1. Date - last weekend of Sept?

2. Location - Was thinking Brixham Breakwater (lots of fish and places to fish) or charter a boat for the day (£25'ish)

What’s your view?

Re: Having a Devon meet

Yep could be up for that - wouldnt mind doing either if we can make it. Wot about using a few of our boats and fishing rough ground around Teignmouth after bassing at the entrance to the estuary ? Just a thought although I dont know how many have boats ?

Re: Having a Devon meet

I am up for it guy's. I dont mind whether we fish from shore or from boat, as long as all that want to join us, can go.

OK. One of us needs to set the wheels in motion and act as a point of contact etc. I feel that now Ive mentioned this, I will get bombarded with requests to do it!!! :-S
Unless someone stands up I really dont mind. Just be a great thing to do.

Re: Having a Devon meet

Hey, count me in!!!

Just looking at tides for 25th and 26th.......saturday is around 5pm (no way am I getting up for a 4.30 am tide!) sunday is 6ish. Is the breakwater dependent on tide?

Dunno about the rest of you but saturday would suit me better, not really fussed tho.

If Tommy's idea is liked I can take a couple of guys on Nimue from Teignmouth. But happy to do a bit of shore fishing haven't done any for years, bit more sociable.....wonder if I can still cast? Not quite the same adrenaline rush as your less likely to die!

Regards all, Jules

Re: Having a Devon meet

I'd be right up for it but I've got a 1st birthday party for my wee boy on Saturday 25th Sep. His girlfriend has her 1st birthday party the Sunday before (19th Sep) and I'm on a boat Sunday 3rd Oct.

I'd love to come along if it's not on one of these dates/weekends. How about the 11th, 12th or 18th Sept or 9th/10th October????

Oh yeah that reminds me I need to ask downsouth when our next shore league match is! Hold that space.........
