Re: brighton

During the day it's £2.50 per rod for adults and £1.50 per rod for juniors and OAPs. At night it's £2.00 for one rod and £3.00 for two rods.

Re: brighton

you want to be walk to the back, low water seems to be good for bass, bream. but there are loads of makkies bashiers as reply from others.
live pout of the wall or softshell spider crabs is best for BASS.

Re: brighton

Brighton Marina
is under repair on the west and east arms at the moment and daytime fishing
depends on which arm the contractors are working on due to the weather
you can phone 01273 696477 to find which arms are fishable

ROYSTON.

Re: brighton

one moment, to compare fishing between England and Australia is truly unfair. Appreciate your situation, because if nothing else Australia appreciates the sports value of the fish stocks, something that he UK has failed to do repeatedly. Australia is truly full of rednecks, but the government is many miles ahead of realising the value of sportfish. No offence intended, just pointing out the differences. When the UK government finally wakes up to the reality of the economy, maybe things will change. Until then, enjoy your luck.......

If you mean the country folk of the outback, I can tell you they are the salt of the earth - have a car breakdown on a country track in Australia, and you have to fight off the folk stopping to assist you.

In the UK, you would starve to death at the roadside before anyone stopped and offered help.

We have made 11 trips to Oz in the last 20 years, planning a 12th for this winter. If I was 50 years younger with a working and fishing life in front of me, I would move to Queensland tomorrow.

....and yes, Australia, like Canada, New Zealand and the USA is now streets ahead of the UK on fishery conservation and management. Yes, mistakes have been made in the past (introduction of carp etc) but at least the value of fish stocks is now appreciated. Our political masters over here have yet to realise it.
