hello everybody. i was wondering if anybody knows any decent spots to dig/collect bait in the somerset area? i have dug at brean beach and got (little) lug and a few crabs hidden in the sand. i was thinking of digging on WSM beach but i am not sure if its very productive? any ideas? also,(last thing, i promise!) i was watching "river cottage" on sky and saw Hugh catching razorfish from a beach using salt. is there anywhere local to the southwest to do this as it looks good fun? any advice is usally good advice! thanks, steve ![]()

Re: bait digging, anybody know any hotspots in somerset? Being from the nor--west not sure if you need permission to dig for bait ,any way reg- razorshells, anywhere there is a lot of wet sand look for keyhole indentations and away you go and be careful of quicksand.

Re: bait digging, anybody know any hotspots in somerset? Hi there, ref digging spots in Somerset. Have you tried Blue Anchor Bay? Saw a few digging opposite the pub and they seemed to do ok. Plenty of blow holes at low tide so there must be some there. Hope this is some help. Tufty

Re: bait digging, anybody know any hotspots in somerset? Hello mate, Burnham on Sea is excellent for lug although you will get smaller worms before and after xmas and larger examples during the spring/summer.
