| first time out Went out fishing with gf's father and uncle as they had been sea fishing before. We went to Deal pier.We ahd lugworm ragworm and some squid. Had a very enjoyable day, lots of fresh air and one small pouting betwen us which was thrown back. Good job theres a chinese take away near home and we were not relying on our catch for dinner. hope to get out next weekend so fingers crossed for more luck.     |

 Re: first time out Glad you enjoyed yourself Maurice even if you did'nt catch much. If you are a novice to Sea fishing, then the Forum's the right place to learn a bit more about it. Plenty of helpful & friendly anglers here. |

| Re: first time out Sounds like a nice day, I loved Deal pier when I fished it with FishyPaul, but the tidal flow can be savage. I had a 7oz lead bouncing along the seabed! Hope you enjoyed the chinese take-away  Rob |

| Re: first time out Tide was fast but if we are anything to go by the sea bed must be covered in tackle. We managed to loose 6 rigs and weights between us. |
