| Re: night lure bass fishing! i've caught a reasonable amount of bass at dusk and into the night on plugs, i generally use a dark rapala J-13 plug, pollack coloured at dusk and into the night. i've also had a few on the blue J-13 as well. if are into this try the bass anglers sportfishing society website they are pretty good on plugging pointers. i don't have the patience for it any more i prefer dead and live baiting for them, right under your toes!!! bring on April. | Re: night lure bass fishing! Would look at maybe using a plug with a rattle inside give them something to home in the dark or a good vibratory lure, or even surface poppers - works well for pike so should work for bass also?? http://www.lurepro.co.uk |

| Re: night lure bass fishing! I would give it a go on a reasonably calm night with a bit of moonlight then the plugs would be sillouhetted and easier for the fish to see. Poppers and walk the dog lures have got to be worth a try in calm conditions at night IMO. __________________ Steve 2012 Species:Bass,Huss,SS Sea Scorpion,3B/Shore Rockling,Launce,Mackerel,Sand Goby,Sand Smelt,Pollack, Coalie,Conger |

| Re: night lure bass fishing! As previously covered, Rapala J13 and topwater plugs like the Heddon Zara Spook are great. For night fishing, the darker the color, the better the silhouette against the moonlight. I had some science dude try to explain to me about ten years ago why that is but I don't remember the details... __________________ 2012 species: 13 All-time species: 65 New species caught in 2012: white sucker, popeye shiner, white shiner |
