Plenty Of Large Bass??? Act Now And There Will Be!!!

PLENTY OF LARGE BASS!!!. Act NOW and this could be the headline in a couple of years!!

This is desperately important. Please read carefully.

You help and the help of every angler who is concerned about what is happening to fish stocks around the UK is urgently required, NOW.

The Bass Anglers Sportfishing Society, (BASS) have for years been campaigning for the implementation of The Bass Management Plan with considerable success.

As a result a 'consultation' by DEFRA and The Welsh Assembly Government concerning the first phase of the plan is currently underway. This is a proposal to increase the minimum landing size of bass TOGETHER with an appropiate increase in licensed commercial net mesh sizes.

The second phase includes a ban on ALL gill netting within one mile of the shore. These proposals, if implemented, will make a HUGE DIFFERENCE to the bass fishery in the UK resulting in PLENTY OF LARGE BASS FOR ALL!!!

THIS IS THE BEST OPPORTUNITY WE'VE EVER HAD TO MAKE OURSELVES HEARD AND MAKE A DIFFERENCE!!!
It is VITAL that as many people as possible make their views known to Defra.

One thing is certain. THERE WILL BE TREMENDOUS OPPOSITION FROM THE COMMERCIAL SECTOR so it is VITAL that there is also an overwhelming response of support from the recreational sea angling sector for these proposals.

So, how do you do it?

EASY

Go to www.ukbass.com. On the opening page, click the link 'how can you help?' There are even ready written letters for you to download, sign and return.

DON'T DELAY. We only have till 8th Feb 2006 to respond to Defra and 14th Feb 2006 to respond to the Welsh Assembly.

Don't leave it to someone else. Stand up and be counted.

If you do not take this action now you will have NO RIGHT WHATSOEVER to complain about a lack of bass in the future.
Look at www.ukbass.com and take action.

DO IT NOW!!!
