Re: Bass Plugging

Hi Niel.

I try all different sorts of lures including rubber eels and shads. I prefer Rapala X-Raps and Yozuri mountain minnows, but I am always willing to try something different.

I normaly do quite a bit of fly fishing for Bass, Pollock, Garfish and Scad around Ferrybridge. I didn't do a lot last year as I spent quite a lot of time going after Carp on the fly rod.

Re: Bass Plugging

Neil

We used to holiday at a place called Taly Bont between Harlech and Barmouth, I remember some lovely trout in the river that flows into the sea there. I think the river is called Afon Dyfrin. There are some great Bass in the Mawdach esturey up from Barmouth, we had them jumping over the canoe once as we paddled up on the tide at dawn.

If you ever come to Dorset we'll have to go fly fishing for bass down here.

Good luck

Jon

Smile Re: Bass Plugging

We really should get together this summer for a bass plugging session. I think that theres a fair few of us who are into this who fish the Portland / Weymouth area. Might bring a fly rod too.
