Re: spinning for bass??

i'd use bigger lures like crank baits or jerk baits not spinners, i think that's what you use for them, or jointed plugs

Re: spinning for bass??

ive had a go at that mate, but it was tricky as you will spend half your time pulling weed off your lure so make sure its a weedless venue. c ya

Re: spinning for bass??

thanks, i will ask in my local tackel shop about some fo those names
i often go 2 the beach early in the morning and its very still and calm and bass can be seen chasing lil fish on the top so that surface popper 1 might be good

Re: spinning for bass??

if you are fishing over a fairly shallow reef/ rock area with a fast flow try a jointed thunderstick. sinks to only 2.5ft and weighs about 17.5g so you can get it right out using the right tackle. wouldnt advise going as light as 6lb. the bass will often run sideways and straight towards any kelp or rock pinnacles. i use at least 8lb clear mono or you can use 12lb firewire braid. the braid is particularly useful for cutting through the kelp when retrieving the lure.

Re: spinning for bass??

i find a dextor works very well in esturys and strong currents over gullies. iv caught alot of bass on this. most people think i use too strong a line, but it hasnt put any fish off. i use 15 pound line and 10 pound trace
