Northern Bass ?

Where would you go to fish for bass in northern Britain ?

Most popular fishing locations appear to be in the south.
I dont do much sea angling but it would be nice to go somewhere a bit closer than the south coast.
I mentioned an experience in Norfolk on another thread recently but I wondered if they could be located say on the Yorkshire coast or north Wales maybe ?

i didnt get much fishing done last year but my mate had close to 70 bass last year off the ayrshire coast mainly on peeler but rag an lug worked too.biggest was a lovely 6lb
