what reels?

Any bass fishermen out there that would reccommend a reel for general bassing.
I normally fish the isle of wight waters with big mackerel baits and also use lures and plugs and am in the market for two reels for bait fishing and one for lure fishing.
I've tried using freshwater fixed spools that i use for piking but due to corrosion isues i'd like something that is more resistant to salt.
Any reccommendations around the £10-20 mark or any old models that you would reccommend that i may be able to purchase second hand would be appreciated.

Re: what reels?

I use a cheap Wychwood 6000 size carp baitrunner reel for spinning at sea for mackerel etc. I give it a good rinse in clean tap water when I get home and had no corrosion worries so far.

Re: what reels?

£20 second hand. It dosnt have to cast a long way as am fishing for bass and plugging. surley there must be a reel in this price bracket that would be suitable for bass fishing?????
I've used coarse/pike reels before and had to repair them after corrosion had got into the fold away handle mechenism. so i'm just looking for somthing more suitable for the sea.
Unfortunately £20 is about all i can afford these days. And i'd have to save for that!!!!
By the way i'm not on the dole either. I work 6-7 days a week and earn £30,000 a year. But still can only afford a cheap second hand reel.
