How to Bass fish ??? i need help

hello mate, to be honest i dont think theres much between them i use hansfords as i know the owners quite well and its where ive always gone but i use rovers to here and there. i dont know anywhere to get live sandeels but they are hard to keep alive anyway. if your buying rods or reels i always go to the boat jumbles as they are by far the cheapest i got a ugly stick boat rod for 35 squid instead of 70 at the time try the bigger ones. Im fishing for bass on the millenium pier in gosport this week thats a good bass spot if you can get there mate c ya

if you have the space to set up a tank they are easy to keep alive (the sandeels that is)

theres a car boot sale at burseldon by tesco every sunday and there are always 2 sea fishing stalls there which are cheap

I don't know if this helps or not but i would say if your wondering what tackle to use or lure i would have to say use a spinnerbait for a lure or what you could do is use a little half ounce weight with a styrophome bobber swivel and 2/0 hook probably red m8 and with that if at sandpit use a minnow pond i recommend shad maybe minnow nightcrawler for sure works everytime but if there is bluegill or crappie in there you might catch one of them but they are pretty fun to catch id say and heres some other recommended lures that are real: countdown.spinnerbait,rattlin' rapala,jigs to that is all the the things i would recommened then where you fish at like in the pond lake sandpit w/e but find a spot where there is shade alot of logs in the water and kind of murky for the lure but for the other tackle id say maybe in the sun a little bit and clear water probably 10-20ft out off the bank if your in a boat 5-10ft logs nearby and when the fish is nibblin you'll see the bobber just dinkin around probably a bass real in slowly and it should take it and run im pretty sure and if its a bluegill it will move to your left or right or forward or backward but it will play with it for a little while and then it will pull under and you probably have 1 to 5 seconds to set the and they are fun and easy to catch for crappie they will dink it 1nce or 2ce and they will take it as far as they can set the hook 5-10 secs and catfish very rare to catch them at the top uve the water but its possible they will take it and go back to their hole but if your using lures you got a 2% chance of catching a catfish it would be on accident. and put your bobber over the weight and put it approx. 2-3ft above it and over by the trees that should work really good. out in the open where the sun is shining be patient cuz it will take awhile for them to feel like goin to get some breakfast or whatever and heres some tips and tatics to catching them when they take that bobber under you had better wait 2 seconds with the bobber because they are just pulling and playin with and trying to kill it or sumthing like that then set the hook but if your using a lure do not wait at all they will take it and run and if you use a spinner bait try to find the one with a red & green skirt on it that REALLY helps thanks for your time i hope that helps you catch the big one tightlines man

MA11 Dude, you do know this is an English site? They are after SEA BASS in the Atlantic Ocean or the English Channel. Not the fresh water Large Mouth Bass like we're after.
As near as I can tell sofar, the most similar fish between us is Carp and Walleye(our mates call them Zander).
Its ALL fishing...its All Fun...

HELLO mate i would recommend that you investigate your venue more at low tide, look for deeper areas, channels/gulleys, rocks etc. this will help you on h.t. too, bass feed off rocks and move up and down the channels when they come into the surf. I recommend a pennel rig with a flowing trace on a pulley, this helps in snags, remember that on the flood always cast angular in to the surf so that the flowing trace doesn't get wrapped around your gripper lead. aim about 15-30 yrds in keeping your line as tight as poss, ( NOT MUCH ROD REST ACTION NEEDED) i personally favour macky for bass as it always attracts, a nice chunk of it secured with elastic stays on long enough when dragging on the wave too so you get a bit of play time, after about ten mins i reel in check bait condition if it is still in tact then i simply rub it in the mackie guts in bait box or rub with pilchard oil and throw back in, i've heard that warsash is good for flatties but as for bass i dont know, maybe try more venues mate, best of luck though
