to be honest ben i think havin 8-9 bass in 1 go was a fluke, but iv always had 1 or 2 a tide. i think its just finding the right state in the tide

i read that using blennys as live bait works well, might be just the trick at my local beach because there are 1000's of blennys under the rocks

like this is so easy .. USE BACON !!!!! BACON . YOU WILL CATCH A BASS WITH BACON ! BUT ONLY BASS ! you can use lures but i dont recomend them .

Even though it sounds stupid, i have seen plenty of kids use bacon whilst crabbing off the end of the quay and it is surprising what fish does actually have a go at it.

Bacon is the number one bait in the dockyard bar none.
I had 4 5lb bass and some big mullet in a very short time in devonport dockyard last year.
One of the last bass i caught had a whole rasher in it when i gutted it.
