bait for bass

Guys,

I know you can use sand eel - frozen and live etc. Can you use Storm Shads as well - Ive got a few of these as I was told they were very good for bass and also wrecking.

Does anyone know if they are good for bass ? Are they the same as pirks ? ( Not knowing too much !! )

Hi Tommy. storm shads are good for wrecking the ackowledged way of using them is on a flying collar rig with the trace to the shad being about 3-4 ft as most of them are wieghted, you need to wind a bit faster than you would for a jellyworm, about one turn per second, they will take bass on the drift and are murder over the wrecks.

The answers easy boy`s , why make it hard for yourselfs .Give the fish the bait that they EXPECT to find , at the place your fishing , work`s best most times !!.

hey guys im a new member and i just want to say iv been experimenting with baits for bass and i find that the best bait is to put a whole ragworm on, thread it up through the line past the hook head, then put a whole frozen sandeel on. i have caught 8 to 9 bass per tide with this bait, and it still hasnt failed! all the bass were 2 - 3 pounds each, which aint bad

im going bass fishing saturday night and i know that they are getting them there because i saw some being caught sat just gone will let you know how i got on should be good tides this weekend
