Childhood fisherman hello everyone, i would like to get back into fishing as a casual thing but i've not been really since i was at school.... TBH i don't even really go down the beach much (even tho i can walk there in 5 minutes) So.... whats changed??? where is a good place to fish near Middleton-on-sea and my aim is to get into Bass fishing so what rod reel combo is a good buy (£100 - £150 range) I've still got my old beach caster (4.5mt) which i used a Mitchell Armarda 8000 reel with and i've also got a small Abu boat rod that i used an Abu Garcia Ambassadeur 7500C on. I always used to dig my own lugworm on the beach along with slipper limpets & peeler crab (when they could be found) Looking forward to any advice given Mat

Re: Childhood fisherman Hi Mat. How are you aiming to target the Bass? Will you be plugging and spinning, or trying with larger baits fairly close in? There is a lot of good tackle out there in your price range. __________________ Check my blog for a daily fishing forecast from Weymouth, Portland, Chesil Beach & Kimmeridge Bay. www.fishingtails.co.uk

Re: Childhood fisherman both i suppose ?? i've just bought some bits and bobs: HOLOGRAPHIC FISH LURES and some DEADLY PRAWN RIG LURES for when im fishing off the Rock islands and i've also got a few Dexter wedges of varying weights, and then i suppose i could use my trusty old beach caster to fish the bottom with black lug / peeler / joey ect... I've been looking and researching Bass rods & reels and im steering towards the SHAKESPEARE SALT EXTREME BASS rod but im confused with the reels....
