Bass fishing tonight

Right im off fishing tonight and im gonna target Bass.

I went out for the day with the wife and little boy to the Warren yesterday and whilst I was there come accross a fella catching hundreds of schoolies on a dexter wedge! He was pulling them in like they were makerel and i was amazed at it`s the first time I have ever seen them caught spinning, plus the sheer number of them he was getting!!!!

I figure that now i know they are there that I will try get some myself but I can only fish the tide tonight so spinning is out of the question. I have just got my self 2 packets of sandeels and a score of lug so hopefully that will hook me one. Also hoping night tide will bring in the larger ones

Now just for the tactics

I am fishing a spring tide, over a flat sandy bottom thats broke up in places by rock/kelp beds so what shall i try? Thinkning about running a single hook from just above the weight, with a 50cm snood, and using a heavy but plain lead to get a bit of movement? I figure casting is not gonna make much difference because of the flat seabed but gonna try and aim for sand patches between kelp beds.

What you recon guys, is there anything else i can do to improve my chances???

Well i went, two rods, 1 with a running ledger, other with a 2 hook flapper, sandeel, lug and makerel for bait.......................Dogfish all night lol.... report in another post
