| Advice for New Member from Worthing Hi there, I have recently moved to Worthing and am keen to get fishing again. At the moment I am interested in what I can catch from either the pier or the beach as I live just back from the pier. I am pretty new to sea fishing so any advice is welcome. At the moment I have a Shimano 4000 rear drag reel, some 8lb braid, a dexter wedge and a Shimano Exage STC 7ft rod. Thanks in advance Mick |

| Re: Advice for New Member from Worthing At the moment theres a few garfish about , odd flatties although seaweed is a problem at moment. In the summer you can expect to catch mackerel, bass, golden grey mullet, dogfish , some smoothounds , small flatties, bream etc. Need the right bait at the right time to get results on there. Shoreham beach fishes better than worthing beach in summer and lots of species can be caught there, worthing is a better beach in winter with plenty of flounders . |
