It all depends on your area peeler around my area tend to run April-September with different types of crab, I think they are as good on rough or clean ground (in General)

Re: Bass - when are they around?

Hi kkk, getting peeler is a night mare mate but chap i know has pots and they peel from march- dec but i fly fish for salmon and brownies from 1st march-20th oct then get 50 peeler and go bassen and on open or 2. Tight lines mate. I boat fish with club may-sept for spurdog, ray, leadheaden for pollock etc and the odd time skate. A peeler has to be prime to use, a bullet is useless. But wherever you get a peeler, a peeler is a peeler no matter were you get them from.

Re: Bass - when are they around?

Hi. I am thinking of visiting Hampshire for a day, and would like to try Lepe Beach. Has anyone had success lure fishing this area? Any tips on the best tide phase would be great. Thanks.
